I’ve always been creative. I used to make books as a child. I even had a monthly magazine on our Windows '98 as a kid called The Zine (which was not creative at all, I stole it from Reggie Rocket), but I was very serious about it.
At 19, I worked in a preschool and started reading a ton of picture books. I figured I could make one too, so I did. I wrote it, illustrated it, and DIY’d the entire publishing process a few years later.
Around the same time I wrote my first book, I got into yoga and learned about the chakras. A few years later, I felt pulled towards Reiki and got certified. I’ve seen Reiki do miraculous things.
For me, creativity and spirituality are interconnected. Meditation fuels my best ideas. Reiki supports healing.
Making things helps me connect the dots that thread my thoughts.
